- 1. Every farmer has a churn. Long ago it was only a dash churn that they used, but now the new make is a twisting churn. The twister is shaped round like a barrel, and it has a handle with which it is twisted when churning.2. When making preparations for churning the churn is washed out with hot water and then rinsed out with cold water.
