    I heard the following story from my grandmother.
    "It is said that down at the quay in Dundalk there was an old bar. Every night after working at the boats all day the men used to go to the bar and spend all their money on drink.
    One night a certain man was drunk and coming home he was cursing and swaying from side to side. Suddenly a black dog appeared beside him. It was trying to push the man into the river. The man got control of himself and pushed it into the river. When the dog went into the river, fire came out of his mouth. The man gave thanks to God
