- There was a woman in this locality long ago, and it is said that she had a cure for fever. She used to hang a piece of meat from the ceiling three weeks before Easter, and on Easter Sunday morning everybody in the house used to take a taste of it, and it is said that anyone that would taste it, could go into a house where a person would be sick with fever, and they would not take the fever.
