    Black Walk: a dark path thro' the wood near Bansha Castle
    Worm Walk: a winding path through Kilshane wood
    The Fourpenny Road: leading from Thomastown (Golden) Cross in a northerly direction. The making of this road was one of the relief works started in 1847 and 4d per day was the wage paid.
    Boreen Buidhe - Leading from the house of T. Peters, Bansha West to Daly's Cottage, Booleen, Bansha. The road is noted for a surface of yellow mud.
    New Line - Mountain foot, Ardane, Bansha, leading from Cloghera to the Glen of Aherlow Creamery.
    Also started as a relief work in black "47"
    The Miller's Road - Rossadrehid, Bansha
    (Elsewhere in this book an incident connected with the "Whiteboys" is given - this road being the scene of it)
