  1. A Local Song

As an Irish boy was leaving, Leaving his native home...

As an Irish boy was leaving,
    Leaving his native home,
    Crossing the broad Atlantic wave,
Once more he wishes to roam.
As - as he was leaving his mother
    While walking down the quay,
He threw his arms around her neck,
And these are the words he said
"A mothers love is a blessing no matter where you roam,
    Help her while she living,
You'll miss her when she's gone.
    Love for as in childhood,
no matter how old and grey,
For you'll never miss your mother,
till she's buried beneath the clay.
