“The townland or village of Moyne...”
The townland or village of Moyne is divided into two parts one called Moyne Temple and the other Moyne. The dividing mark is at the pump.
Moyne Temple gets its name from the old ruins in the graveyard It is a very old & a very true remark that when a crow lingers for some 6 or 8 hours on the sanctuary gable of the ruins a funeral arrives or a corpse is brought to the church in a day or two.
The teller of this story has often witnessed the truth of this remark.- Bailitheoir
