    Fig. 3.
    This is the sketch of an old pipe brought to school by Betty Conway, Limerick St.
    It was owned by her grandfather and it is about a hundred years old. It is handmade as it is most irregular in places. The handle is made of blackthorn and the body of bog oak. The handle can be unscrewed. The stem is 15" long. The body is 3" long and 1/2" thick.
