The strangest story I ever heard was told by an old man about two months ago about a hidden treasure.

    (continued from previous page)
the hidden treasure for him after his death.
Then the servant died twelve months after the gentleman. After that nobody minded the hidden treasure. Until about thirty years ago an uncle to the man who was telling me the story went out one night to search for the hidden treasure.
He took three other men with him and a lady to hold the light while they were digging.
They dug for about one hour and at last they came to a stone flag. They were going to lift the flag when a white cat frightened them away. They went home and nobody ever bothered since.
