    leaving work he went in home, that was next door to a forge. He had only just said his prayers when he heard a noise outside. On looking out he saw a farmer stopped at the forge door. There were four horses drawing the hearse. One of the drivers went into the forge and coming out again after a while. My great grandfather did not go out at all because he was afraid. When he went to work next morning everything was all right.
    He told his story to the priest Rev Lee that day as he was shoeing his horse for him. The priest told him he did right not to go out as whoever was there was not going to do any harm to anyone. It was found out later on that a person from this place died in America. When any native of this district dies abroad the funeral always passes by and calls to the forge.

  2. There was an old house near Regan's cottage the ruins of which still remain. A man named David Carey lived in this house. He never ceased teasing, joking and making fun of the neighbours.
    One day he struck a policeman in the street so he was put into prison. While he was there he got paralysed and could not walk. He was released when he came home an old man told him there
