She told him to be at Lisheen Cross such a night and that the cow would cross there some hour in the middle of the night: The man went and he carried a neighbour with him. They were there for a long time and any cow did not turn up. They went into a house, and they come out after a while and they saw no cow.
They came home and they told their story to Mollie. She asked them did they go into into any house. They did. She then asked them did any dogs bark while they were inside. They said there did. She said that it was then the cow was passing and that she was sold in Killarney now.
