- (2) The most harmful weeds I know are dock-leaf, and chicken weed, and dandelion. They spread rapidly and impoverish the soil. The thistle and dock-leaf grow only in the best of land.
The dandelion herb is boiled and drawn like tea, and is used for liver complaint. There is also a herb called "St. Patrick's plant, and it is put up to any sore to draw the badness out of it.
