  1. My father told me the following story. Once there lived three young people whose names were O'Leary, and they were three brothers. These three brothers knew that they were going to die, because they had fever, and they had a lot of gold and silver. They had no relations nor anyone belonging to them to give the money to, and so they hid the gold at Ballydrahane Bridge, Kanturk. The money amounted to £10,000. The three brothers died.
A man named O'Connor dreamt about gold being hidden down in Co. Limerick in a wall, and so he started off next morning, but he found nothing. On his journey home he met a man, who asked him where was he returning from, and O'Connor told him his story. The man told him that there was gold hidden at Ballydrahane bridge, because he saw a light when he was passing the kiln. O'Connor came to the kiln
