- Marriages take place between Christmas and Shrove Tuesday. Some days are unlucky to get married such as, Monday, Wednes-day and Friday. It is also unlucky on the 13th. of any month or if the bride marries in red.
It is also an old custom to get alot of presents. If they go in motors to the church the bridegroom is in the first car. If they stop on the way something bad is about to happen.
