  1. The most harmful weed growing on our farm is the dock. The dock spreads slowly. It grows in good and bad ground; when stung from a nettle, if you got a dock leaf and spit on it and rubbed it to the sting it would cure it. There is another weed called wild parsnip, and it is harmful, because it kills cattle. One of Mr Carroll's cows ate it and it killed her.     It grows on rough land. Wild sage tea is drank for boils and internal diseases, it grows on fences. Pimpernel is boiled with milk then the mixture is strained and allowed to cool. People drink this for stomach complaints.
