  1. Old Roads
    The road leading from Skibbereen to Schull passes my house. It is made over a hundred years. Before the bridge across the river was made the river was crossed by a ford. There is an old road from the School Cross up thrugh Sweetnam's land, and it comes out into the new road at Greenmount cross. This road is seldom used now.
