  1. There was a saint one time & there was a man flailing oats in a barn & the saint asked the man would he be able to keep the devil down in the ground with the flails if he asked him to come up. When the devil came up the man started flailing him with the flail & he put him back down again. The the saint gave him a pot of gold for putting down the devil.
