  1. Thady O'Connor and his wife Grace lived near Letterkenay. Thady used to work in the fields and Grace made a living by selling cloth and calico. Shortly after she died and was buried, Thady was in bed the night after the funeral and he saw his departed wife bend over to the cradle where their only child was. He got terrified and he covered his head with the blanket and when he looked up again the spirit was gone. The next night he put the child behind his back but his wife Grace appeared again. He husband asked her what she wanted. "I want nothing she replied." but tell my sister Rose to meet me here tomorrow night in this house. Thady told her sister and Grace gave her money to give to people to whom she owed it. When the money was paid she disappeared and was never seen anymore.
