    their own thread. The people in every house were able to spin. The wool was washed, then it was taken to the mill. The people at the mill carded the wool into rolls. Then the people brought it home from the mill and spun it into thread with a spinning wheel. The people then took the thread to the weaver and the weaver wove it into flannel. It was taken to the tucking mill after it being with the weaver where the flannel was cleaned and thickened. Hawkins of Gerah had a carding mill and tusking, but it has not been in use for more than thirty years.
