  1. I. Cure for running sore.
    Cut boglas very fine. Get beef suet, honey, resin and cut hair (human). Melt beef suet and resin and mix with the honey, cut hair and boglas.
    Apply as plaster.
    II. Cure for cut.
    Get root of 'cumfre'. Scrape the root and apply to wound.
    III. Cure for colic.
    Get 'golden rod'. Boil new milk. Chop and pound golden rod. Throw into milk and strain. Then give the milk to sufferer. He instantly vomits something like yoke of egg.
    IV. Cure for sudden swelling.
    Get chicken weed and boil it in buttermilk for fifteen minutes. Apply to swollen part as hot as patient can bear. Clap a cloth round swollen part. Swelling reduces immediately.
