Ar an leathanach seo

  1. A crib is usually made from straight hazel or sally shoots.
    First a frame is made from fairly strong straight sticks, in the shape of a square - about 1 1/2" side. A split is made in the ends of the side sticks, and the other sticks having been cut flat at the ends are inserted in them. The corners are then firmly tied with twine or wire to keep the frame firm (see fig.1)
    B is inserted into A and tied firmly. Two pieces of twine are tied diagonally across the frame to hang loosely. They are tied where they join in the centre
