It is called that because a man named Tommy used to cut it. 4) There is a bit of a road in Barnaran Rathangan Co Kildare. It is called the Tochar. A tochar means part of a road going through a bog. 5) There is a village called Lullymore near Rathangan Co Kildare. Lullymore means a big grazing patch in the middle of a bog. 6) There is a place called Barnaran in Rathangan Co Kildare. It means a gap between two divisions.

   On St Stephens day some boys dress up

   in old clothes, and they go round from house to house with the wren. They are called wren boys around here. They sing the following song.

   The wren the wren.
   The king of all birds.
