After three months diligent search in the west he succeeded in getting a comrade for his own, in fact a more powerful animal. He set off for home with his new purchase and after six days reached Lisabuck again. Then had had to get a Diver. Several local men could dive but none of them had nerve enough to undertake this job. However he succeeded in getting a man from the Bank of Lough Erne, County Fermanagh. His name was Mc Adam. Now, he was doing well. He had two black horses and the diver, the man who would go down in the depths of the Lough and search for the treasure. Having spent some few days in equipping themselves and in training the horses to pull together a day was named on which to lift the pan. Crowds of people from the locality assembled on the day to see the work performed. Now the horses were in readiness on the shore as was also Mc Adam. He entered the Lough and swam every direction making several dives.
    Nothing had he yet found. He resumed his work, again and on his third dive returned to the surface of the water saying he had discovered the pan. He took note of the place in which the treasure lay and returning to the shore he rested for a short while. Then getting into a little cot Mc Adam and some other men took off with them a very long strong chain on the end of which was attached a large hook. On reaching the spot where the pan of gold lay the diver went down taking the
