    He wears a leather apron when working.
    One time the smith made ploughs but now he only mends them. The farmer can buy a plough in the shop and when any part of it gets brocken he brings it to the forge.
    The smith also repairs axes, harrows, and other farm implements.
    The smith works in the open air when he is shoeing wheels. A big round flag is situated outside the forge door. There is a hole in the middle of the flag. The smith heats the iron band this makes it a little too big, and the band ships on quire easy. When the iron cools it tightens to the wheel. The smith waits until he gets more than one wheel to shoe.
    Long ago the smith was very popular. He was the next man to the king. He made all the implements for the kings army
