The Gows old forge is a blaze to-night,
Red sparks fly out the door,
The boys were clustering round the hob,
"Big Nick upon the floor"
The sledge he wields the iron yields to his stout and smashing blow,
The Rafters ring to the sledges ding and the "Gow" beates time Ho, Ho,
And the anvils song
Is to right a wrong
With a ringing swinging blow.II
Out on the night of the heathered hills
They tread as moonbeams llight,
And Rory waits n the lonely glen to drill them for the fight.
And their marching songs
Were to right her wrong
And to be to Ireland true.III
Brave were the hearts of those Fenians bold "the men of '67
The love they bore the Irish shore it sets our cheeks aglow
