  1. Proverbs and Song

I've wandered many a weary mile across the ocean foam

    Proverbs and song
It a long road that hasn't a turn.
A rolling stone gathers no moss.
Better go to bed (supposed) supperless than rise in debt.
Children or fools should not handle edged tools.
Whatever is worth doing atall is worth doing well.
He who fights and runs away lives to fight another day.
Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy wealthy and wise.
Better be a child in Gods great house than be king of all the army.
A wise old owl sat on an oak the more he heard the less he spoke. The less he spoke the more he heard why is not more of us like this old bird.
    I
I've wandered many a weary mile across the Ocean foam
Although my future may be spent far from my native home
No matter where I chance to stray or where my footsteps go,
I will fondly think both night and day on smiling Carnadoe
    II
Many a time I wandered out at the clearing of the dawn,
To hear the black-birds' merry song around sweet Carrigeen lawn
And view those wooded islands where lovely flowers grow.
And the graceful swan that glides along the waves of Carnadoe
