Local Cures
In the olden days there were no doctors so the people had to seek cures for their ailments in some other way. The cures that they had were known as "Hone Cures" or "Local Cures."
Those cures are dying out now, and it is only the older people that believe in them at all.
For instance:- herbs are known to have cures. There is a purple herb known as "Harteese" and if it is boiled in milk and the milk then drank by a sufferer of "heart fever" he would be cured his disease.
Certain people are known to have cures as:- The seventh son or daughter in succession in a family has the cure of the wringworm as Tom Ryan Ariana
