    Local Cures.
    The cure for a sty in the eye is to put a gooseberry thorn in it.
    The cure for a boil is to put hot water in a bottle and put the bottle to it and when it breaks grind soap and sugar up and put it to the boil and it cleans all the matter out of it.

    The cure for a cut on your hand is to tie a piece of tobacco round it.
    The cure for red water in cattle is to mix butter-milk and soot and salt up together.You have to put this mixture into a bottle and put it into the animal who has the red water.
