- (continued from previous page)was going into the hole the child rolled down the hill. The woman ran down after it and caught it. Then she ran into the hole and pulled and pulled the furze bush in after her. The soldiers kept looking for her but could not find her.
- People took a disease called "Black Fever". When Cromwell came to the door of a house he called for the men. The women came out and said there was not a man in the house. Then Cromwell sometimes cut the women's heads off. Cromwell was sometimes afraid to go into the houses after people on account of the Black Fever.
