- There are four forges in the parish of Kilcummin.
All the forges are situated on the side of the road. The most of the forges are near streams of water because water is needed to cool the irons.
The forges are roofed with boards and felt. Forges are not roofed with iron because the smoke holes the iron. The walls of some of the forges are built with stone and others are built with cement.
The doors are doubled and there are clasps attached to them. There is a part of the floor boarded where the horses stand while(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
