  1. If any river in Ireland were likely to be worshipped it should be the "Leha" with the mysterious underground passages and cavern of one of its tributaries. But no evidence of worhship is available (Except the name "Leha" is a corruption of Lough Ledad as the Lee of Tralee certainly is) the most likely place of worship would be at the Cross where the Kilquane spur {?} goes south from our Northern Ancient Road. Here twelve feet below the surface of the ground the underground river shows itself for about then feet & then disappears again. But there is no tradition of Reverence for the place. This hole at the back of Potally creamery is called "Poll a' toiri" {toirt?} (the hole of the thirst). Anything you throw in there is swallowed up. It should really be "Poll a' Tarta".
