    The Town of Sligo
    When Maurice Fitzgerald came to Sligo, he built an Abbey for the Dominicans. Then people came from other countries built houses round the abbey and settled down Bit by bit the place grew, till it became on big street called "Abbey Street" From that street the town of Sligo grew.
