  1. Travelling folk call to our home very often. Some of them are calling for six or seven years and the rest of them started calling lately. They are very poor. Some of them sell small articles. People buy from them. They obtain their supplies in the shops.
These travellers are generally welcome. Hardly any of them remain a night. Some of them have caravans to sleep in. The rest of them make up a tent along the roadside for to sleep in.
They don't have food with them. they travel on foot and in single families.
The names of the best known of them are Maughans, Maloneys and McDonaghs.
The Maughans family visit the district most frequently. The travelling folk don't come at any special time.
They don't tell stories or bring news from distant places, nor do the people gather around them to hear any news.
