  1. This is a story my father told me some time ago. One day two men went with their dogs in search of hares. Passing a graveyard one of the dogs went in and returned shortly afterwards with a hare in his mouth. The owner of that dog took the hare from the dog and brought it home and had it for dinner next day.
During the dinner the man got a terrible pain in his hand. He was taken to Dublin Hospital and nobody could find out what was the matter with it. The hand was cut off and soon after he died.
It was the general opinion in the locality that there was something unearthly in that hare.
