Some 80 or 90 years ago there lived in Ardloher a hard-working farmer named Peter Rooney.
Now, Peter wanted a cow very badly, so on one 20th of May he started fro Drumsna to buy one. After choosing a nice gray cow and paying £14.10 for her, he tied her to a lone bush on the green and went to take a drink with an old friend of his.
