- On the top of every hill we see round embankments, those embankments are called forts. I am told those embankments were put there by the Irish people long ago in order to protect our country from the enemy. The old people believed that fairies lived in them and they used to hear music, dancing an churning in those forts. The old people were afraid to enter those forts or cut bushes that grew around them because they were afraid that the fairies would do them any harm, because the fairies could take take their butter and hay instead.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
