    Stye in the eye. Pull nine gooseberry thorns, throw away one of them, and then prick the stye with each of the remaining eight thorns. Then bury the thorns in the ground and when the thorns are rotten, the stye will have gone.
    Sore eyes. The juice of a certain flower, which grows on a wall, is good for sore eyes.
