- On the Bonfire night a crowd of us gather together and light a fire in honour of St. John.Long ago soldiers were looking for St. John to kill him. They told the people to put out a fire at the house he would come to so that they could find him. So every house put out a fire and they did not know what house to get him in.A big fire is lit and a crowd gather around it and dance and sing. Someone plays tunes on a melodion.When the cows are coming in they are put past the fire so that the smoke can blow on(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
