- In olden times people had three meals in the day, breakfast dinner and supper. The breakfast was eaten at nine oclock and they got their dinner at two oclock and they got their supper at eight oclock.
The people worked form six oclock in the morning till nine without food. The breakfast consisted of oatbread and sweet-milk. The dinner was potatoes and groats, that is, a kind of broth made with fine oatmeal. the supper consisted of oaten-porridge and butter-milk.
