Local Cures.The local cure for sore eyes is to put a plaster of tea leaves to them.
The cure for the mumps is to go under a donkey three times.
The cure for the whooping-cough is to get a piece of bread, butter and jam, from two persons having the same name before being married.
There are two holy wells in the Parish of Iskaheen, Muff, Co. Donegla, one of them is in Miss Mary McColgan's field, and the other is Miss Mary McColgan's glen, one of them is called the eye well and the other is called the head well.
