Ar an leathanach seo
- We have a churn at home and its height is 4 feet and a half and width is 3 feet. Our churn is about two years old. Ours is a round churn and the different parts of it are the Crib which is top of the churn and the Lagan which is the bottom of the churn. We churn twice a week in the winter and thrice in the summer.
My Mother churns and also the men help. If it happened that that she did not churn until night and there were any strangers in the house visiting or as we say on "their ceyley they help to churn it. It takes about an hour or an hour and a quarter to churn the milk. It is a hand churn and is churned with a staff. To cut the butter that is to bring it quickly or to break it they give the staff a rolling motion in the hand.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
