    Flummery
    Flummery was used by the old people long ago.
    This is how it is made.
    Get a few bowl fulls of oat meal and mix them wiht half the quantity of fine seeds from the mill.
    Put in sufficient cold water to make a few quarts and let it stand for a few days.
    Afterwards et a clean cloth and wring it throughly. Put the water you take off into a small pot and keep stirring all the time the one way till it boils and thickens. Be sure and do not reverse your pot-stir or you will spoil your flummery
