    Evidently Napper Tandy discovered from the perusal of the letters that the Rising was not a success so he fled (into) with his ships.
    When the inhabitants of the Lower Rosses saw the fleet, and heard that Napper Tandy had arrived in Rutland they fled to the hills in terror but returned to their homes when he left.
