Once upon a time a man lived out in the mountain. One day he made butter. When he opened the churn to see the butter he had nothing but froth. A woman was called at the first farmer's house. In these days she was called a north-country woman. She told the farmer's wife that her neighbour took the butter. This was done by with-craft. These women were called witches.
