More people say that if there is a little grain of salt put in the cream before it is put in the the churn, no one can bring the butter. If a person milks his neighbours cow and they are not seen by any one it is said that they have most of that cows butter till she is sold. If any body goes to an other man's land and pulls a bit of grass of his ditch on May morning before the sun rises it is said he will have half of his butter for a year. More people would not let a person take a live coal out of their fire unless you had a sod of turf in your hand to throw in instead.
