- There is a well in Ballinglen called ''St Brigids Well'' and people perform stations there between the 1st July and 8th Sept. To make the station you first kneel down and state the intention you are doing the station for. You now have to go around the well five times and each time say five Our Father's five Hail Mary's and five Glorias. The last time you must go round on your bare knees.
Then you go into the well and wash your feet. There are now five stones to be removed from one side of the well to the other, and as you do this you bless yourself with each stone.
