The "saiceáis" [?] was the name given to those rods. The frame of the basket was made. Then the basket maker got the weaving rods and he began to weave until the bottom of the basket was made. He put small rods about three inches in height standing around the edge of the bottom then he wove around the rods until the basket was finished.
