   5) Carriages over bogs without horses.
   6) Women dressed in silk and babies with shoes on in the cradle.
   7) The great war.
   8) News coming on top of stick (wireless).
   9)Another war when men would be turned three times in their beds to see if fit to fight.
   10) Two big rates which people would pay unable to pay third.
   11) Bridge of Clauber between Mayo and Sligo (this is the cement bridge proposed to be built at Mt. Falcon).
   The above has been told to me by my own father Michael J McLoughlin and he heard it from his own father, who would now be over a hundred years had he lived.
