There is a bush growing about a mile from Claremorris, and it is called the "mile - bush.
In the olden times the people had a habit of naming the fields. Such as the "Paddock" which is a small field surrounded with trees, the "Bleach" is a field in which the people used to bleach the flax long ago. Our fields are called the "Bleach and the Paddock".
