- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)About two miles from the village of Taghmon in a place called Harpurstown. It is a very nice place, and many people visit it in summer time.
About the year 1600 a Gentleman whose name was Hore lived in the building which is now in ruins.
In front of the hall door is a lawn, and about two hundred yards from the hall door there is a well.
The waters of this well are always cold and clear. But one time a butler of the Gentleman, Mr. Hore, drowned himself in it and ever since the water has not been used.
There is a little river flowing near the house, and it is said that one of his horsemen got choked by a(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
