  2. The potatoes are dug out in the month of October.
    Then thay are sorted and put in a put and left there until Spring.
    The small potatoes are called pore-eans. The rotten potatoes are called "buggans".
    The width of the pit is about one foot nine inches and a pit nine feet long will hold a ton of potatoes.
